Standard Time is an art performance about time and a race against the clock.

Standard Time is a sculpture about time. Seventy workers are building a large wooden time display in real time: a work that involves 1611 changes within a 24-hour period. Seamlessly documented and shot on video, the 24-hour movie is synchronized in real time on your device and can be used as a clock. The performance is a race against the clock. Even though the workers are trying hard to construct every single minute, they are constantly on the verge of failing. Standard Time is an artwork by Mark Formanek, realized by Datenstrudel. PLEASE NOTE: The Standard Time Project is a very large application. PLEASE BE PATIENT - download and syncing times can be longer. It is possible for the downloading and syncing to pause for up to 10 minutes.

One of the best clock apps on the store. I love watching them build up time. But being the best doesn't stop them having room for improvement. I would love a live wallpaper of this.

Loved it!!

I was really happy to find there was an app after having seen the Standard Time performance previously. I second the request to hide buttons from another reviewer, and it would be incredible if you could add the ability to Chrome cast as well. Please! :)

Excellent, but very distracting on my desk at work. I'm going to binge-watch next weekend.

Great app! Would love to see a widget to display the time on a small portion of the home screen.

Shane Rehm

Beautiful clock! Is it possible to have it in fulls screen, so that the buttons like "home" and "back" are hidden? It'll make the experience much better.

Ariel Ron

Just can't stop staring at this. It is fantastic.

As a senseless waste of time, 24 hours in fact, this app and the underlying endeavour rates very highly. As a work of art, I love it. The app is faultless and works reliably. I thoroughly recommend it.
